They operate in relative silence, hardly an objection ever heard. Bill after bill gets passed. Year after year goes by. The clocks all keep ticking and all of us keep up the daily grind.
And we struggle, then wonder, “Why?”
As grassroots citizens just getting our start in Delaware, we don’t have all the time in the world to spend developing websites and hunting down every piece of corruption in our first few months of reclaiming Liberty. We have real jobs.
But when we started digging into the Newark Bill 12-32 issue, a whole can of worms started to open up.
So far, we’ve uncovered blatant, outright discrimination of American citizens, based on class status, embedded into the Zoning laws dating back to 1999.
We’ve uncovered a tax money giveaway bonanza that has been going on since 2005. Again, with a certain flavor of discrimination.
And all of it wreaks freedom-killing assaults on property rights. All of it is just plain wrong.
To the current Newark Council, owning your property isn’t a right, it’s a privilege. And they feel all the privilege in the world to trespass, alter and abuse you and your property, then make you pay for their efforts.
To the current Newark Council, you don’t belong in the neighborhood if you don’t fit the right profile. If you’re poor or lower-class, they want you to pack your bags and go to another part of town. If you’re a student, run for the hills.
So much for community compassion. So much for having a positive impact on the world and our community.
The two issues below are outside of the Newark Bill 12-32 issue, but they are connected in terms of how they are enforced upon specific citizens based on profiling. (For information on 12-32, CLICK HERE.)
